3 ‘C’s

Was just talking to a friend, Join, on MSN about blogging and I shared with him that it’s difficult to post a decent post ‘cos I won’t know who’s reading my blog… so any comments that might have repercussions on myself are best avoided. Unfortunately, that results in my posts being rather frivolous.

Well, like I said, BO PIAN, hence, I shall talk about something very frivolous, but yet very serious (eh, the “gahmen” also talking about this ok!). As listed in my posts previously, I have a new criterion for a guy now – “cut cake”. So what were my original criteria?

Long time ago when I was in JC, i came up with a couple of ‘C’s that I wanted the guy to have :-

1) Christian
2) Height – 1.73 CM
3) Character (assh*les need not apply)
4) Compatible (similar hobbies or interests would help)
5) Chinese (preferably Cantonese)

But as time went by, that list was evolved… and as of the final revision… 3 Cs remained…

1) Christian
2) Height
3) Cut Cake

Sigh… so how Join? Can find anyone that suits the above?

“Worse half of 20s”

Entered what Zounds termed as the “worse half of my 20s” yesterday. Didn’t really feel very different from when i was still a quarter centurion… if anything, i’m afraid my thinking is starting to regress back to how i looked at life when i was in JC! (Which ain’t all bad ‘cos it just means i’m more bo chup & carefree than ever.)

Had a really stressful day in the office – didn’t manage to get the off day that i wanted – but i survived. A few really really sweet colleagues did a mini quickie celebration for me in the pantry. That was really very nice of them ‘cos i’m still relatively new in the office and don’t know most of them that well. I think that’s why i don’t mind taking up this job despite the sucky pay and stressful deadlines – ‘cos of the great colleagues i have.

After work, i met Iceman for dinner.. had “zi char”, then did another cake cutting session (which i flopped again) at Haagen Daz, and ended the nite by having drinks at Blooie’s. Had a really great time.

Just want to thank ALL my great friends who remembered my birthday. I always feel very touched whenever i receive a birthday greeting… i mean… why the heck should anyone remember and bother to drop that sms or email right? But i thank God for good friends… and i especially appreciate an sms that came from a cousin all the way from Melbourne.

Hey Juzzie, if u see this, just wanted to let you know that i’m glad u came to visit us last Chinese New Year and all of us got to know u better. Really wished i could do more for you now… take care ok? Will be keeping you in my prayers.

Massacre ala Serene

Sigh… just tried cutting a big Kueh Lapis cake just now. Unfortunately, a lot of the cake got murdered in the process. The little “squares” that survived suffered multiple stab wounds and severe amputation. Limbs were strewn all over the cake box and had to be quickly sent for burial (my mouth) lest pesky lizards decide to launch an attack.

It was a gory affair.

From this day on, i shall add 2 more ‘C’s in my criteria for a boyfriend – Cut Cake.

Forget It Bar

Anyone wondering why my blog’s called Forget It Bar? I don’t know if you’ve watched 我和僵尸有个约会. In Part 1, the bar where the good guys hang out in was called Waiting Bar ‘cos it was opened by Madam White Snake, who was waiting for her lousy husband.

Then in Part 2, the bar was called Forget It Bar… and it was opened by the character Ma Ding Dang ‘cos she wanted to forget an old love.

The latest instalment, Part 3, the bar went back to being named Waiting Bar ‘cos it was opened by the character Fok Sang, who was waiting for the male & female lead, Tin Yau & Siu Leng.

As for me, while I’m quite glad to share my thoughts and record my mundane life online, I still think it’s not possible to really air all my opinions freely. After all, there’s always facets of ourselves that we do not wish others to see.
Forget It Bar is really a forward looking ambition. To put down the past and step boldly into the future. This is probably the side of me that I’m happy to share with others. As for what I wish to forget, may it be buried in the vast recesses of the WWW.

Excuse me, are you a blogger?

Ok… this blogging thing seems to be taking over the Internet. So in order to maintain my hip quotient, I decided to start one too. But seriously, can anyone tell me what’s the main difference between the blogging of this generation, and the personal webpages of my era? I mean… it’s still a homepage where you post your comments, get sued, then you either get exiled on Sentosa (but no fear… just tahan a few years and u’ll be able to enjoy the wonders of the IR!) or print a public apology right? :Þ And hey… i had a homepage in the good old days ok!

Back to the 21st century… a couple of my friends have this blog thing and I really admire the stuff they write. Pretty cool, nochalant spiels that perk up many a boring day in the office at home. Hence, I decided to try my hand at this too… but don’t expect any washing of dirty linen here… all scandalous revelations are aired somewhere else. 😉 (If you pay me a million bucks, I will reveal the URL to you).

That said, I guess I won’t be sued ‘cos
(a) I’m not a scholar
(b) I love PAP.
😀
