Bought this Fancl collagen tablet during my HK trip. My mom was telling me that she takes it for maintenance of her skin. I’ve tried the collagen drink from Fancl too. Though my mom & I agree that we aren’t sure if taking collagen really helps our skin but we concluded that it doesn’t cause any harm so why not.

Anyway, strangely, I’ve been taking this collagen tablet for 1 month now & while I’m not sure if it does anything for my skin, I have noticed that it helps with my water retention problem! Doesn’t quite make sense cos collagen’s not known, nor has it been shown to have any effects on water retention. However, I’ve always suffered from water retention, especially the 2 weeks before my period comes and in the past month, I’ve only had mild cases of water retention so far. I can’t explain it but I can’t deny it either.

Well, should someone someday find a link between the prevention of water retention & collagen, remember, you heard it here first!

I blame it on the shopaholic gene inherited from my mom.

She bought 4 blouses, 1 cardigan, 1 scarf, 4 tee shirts, 2 watches, 1 pass holder and 3 pairs of shoes!!

I seriously don’t know whether applying face masks will bring any benefits to my face…  I guess it’s one of those “no harm trying” kind of thing.  Unfortunately, being the lazy person I am, I hardly apply masks, though I’ve bought and have been given quite a few. 

Anyway, there’s this temporary stall at Icon that was selling these 我的心机 masks.  The stallkeeper says it’s been feature on 女人我最大 and since it was selling for $2 per mask, I decided to buy some to try.

Just tried the mint collagen mask above.  Loved the tingly feeling on my face.  My skin as pretty hydrated but once the lotion was fully absorbed… I felt it wasn’t moisturised enough so I apply a bit of my SKII moisturiser.  Maybe I’m paranoid.  Haha. 

One funny thing I noted – the Chinese name 我的心机 was translated as “My Scheming”.  Hehe.  Just sounds so wrong.  Wakakakaka.

Here’s what I did…

1. Hair Cut!!

To ensure that I earned the right to walk next to Booze Queen in Japan, I went to cut my hair.  In fact, I got it cut not once, but thrice!

I showed the stylist a pic of what I wanted.  It was risky – ‘cos the style I wanted required waves at the back and my chin length hair was a little short for it.  Nonetheless, he decided to take up the challenge and thus my hair got permed, then trimmed.

Unfortunately, it totally didn’t come out the way I wanted.  So I decided to chop it all off, and go with this 2nd choice of hairstyle (which I also had a pic of).  I didn’t leave the salon till 11:15pm that night!  Heh.  Poor stylist.

Anyway, that was last week.  I visited the salon again 2 days ago, with the intention of colouring my hair.  The stylist was however, rather traumatised that the curls he did for me all straightened.  So he insisted on perming and cutting – again!  What was supposed to be a 2.5-hr perm & cut, stretched to 4hrs!  The pic above was taken by Azure when she arrived at the salon for her hair appointment!

2. Winter Wear

The last time I travelled during winter was way back in 1995 and I used a winter jacket borrowed from my mom’s friend then.  The hunt for winter clothing thus started.

I initially couldn’t decide to buy a trenchcoat like jacket, or a leather jacket, but chose the latter since I figured it would go with both boots and sneakers.  Bought the above from Mango at an obscene price and earned myself membership rights at Mango at the same time.

I was also very tempted by this white down jacket from Uniqlo.  It’s sooo light!!  Only 200g!  And you can fold it into this small bag so it’s extremely space efficient. 

Here’s a pic of me trying it on for size.  Was dissuaded from buying by Booze Queen since I probably can get it at a cheaper price in Japan.  Heh.  Cute hor?

Uniqlo also has a range of inner wear with their “heat tech” technology that’s supposed to keep you nice & warm.  I bought a black scoop neck long sleeve top, as well as the polka dotted turtleneck top.  Here’re more pics of me cam-whoring.

I also bought nice & warm knitted socks from Uniqlo.  Am a little worried about my feet cramping in Japan – they tend to cramp if I have to stand for more than an hour, or if it’s too cold.  Given that I’m likely to stand more than 1hr in cold weather in Japan, I’m… quite screwed.

I also liked this beret from Uniqlo but decided that I can get it in Japan.

If my ears get too cold, I have these cute furry ear muffs borrowed from Booze Queen.  Hehe.

I also bought heat tech leggings but didn’t really like them – ended up giving them to my mom who’s also going to Hokkaido the same time as me!  Hehe… but she’s going with a tour group whereas I’m going with Iceman, Azure, Ms Trenchcoat & Booze Queen (only for Tokyo leg).

I’m so looking forward to the trip.  Hehehehe.  I will, however, miss Twitter and Weibo terribly.  Sigh.

Ok.  I gotta get back to doing my policy wording now.  Ciao!!

Not sure why but the cut made my hair appear browner than before.

I initially wanted something like this:

But my fringe hadn’t quite grown out and the above really reminds me of Napkin’s hairstyle.  So when the stylist suggested cutting a thick fringe, I agreed.  The ends of my hair is still a little wispy from the last cut but the sides is pretty “stepped” as seen in the pic immediately above.  Hmm… guess one can’t tell from the pic I took of myself.  Wahaha.  Living room was a little dark.

Anyway, I gotta go shower & zzz soon.  Tired from being out the whole day!

Saw these 2 rings from www.mylittlebow.com.  I know they may seem a little kiddy but I quite like the semi-vintage look.  Heh.  So I bought them anyway.

I quite ilke the Audrey Hepburn one tho’ it’s big!  I think I shall wear one of the rings tomorrow.  Muahahaha.

Recently, however, I got quite hooked on bling handphone covers and bought 3 off eBay in the last 3 months!  Here’s a pic of my purchases.

I bought the pink crown design (middle) first.  I really like it because of the sweet pink and it’s not overly bling.  The drawback is that the jewels forming the crown is very raised and thus the handphone doesn’t sit well if I rest it on the table (unless I put it face down).  I bought the heart design (right) next.  The picture on ebay appeared a lot more pastel pink so when the actual thing came, it was a little too bling for my taste.  I used it nonetheless ‘cos – buy liao don’t waste money mah.  The heart design also comes with a front cover which has its pros & cons.  The advantage being that it gives more protection to the handphone… the bad thing is that accessing some areas on the touchscreen can be a little difficult.

The skeleton design is my latest purchase – I think it was sitting in my mailbox for a few days because I forgot about it and didn’t check my mailbox.  Haha.  Just went down to collect it tonight and boy am I pleased with it.  The actual product looks better than the eBay photo (and my photo).  The black crystals aren’t too shiny but the white and pink crystals are so it really makes the design stand out.  I like the fact that it’s not overly sweet, but yet not too devilish ‘cos of the cutesy pink eye-patch on the skull.    Very pleased with it.

I think I’m going to keep rotating the 3 cases.  Hehe.  Will use in accordance to my mood.  For anyone else who’s keen on the above, be warned though – the crystals drop off quite easily (only the pink heart design came with a strip of extra crystals).  I believe these crystals are easily purchasable and repairs can be done… but you know me lah… so lazy… I won’t bother.  Hahahaha.

Bought this latest hp case for my Nokia X6 from eBay (seller was called easytradingco).  Very happy.. this must be the fastest an item has reached me (took about 8 days to get to Singapore from HK).  Love the hp… the bling is stuck over a clear plastic back case.. really hope it doesn’t crack ‘cos the last clear plastic case I bought cracked very easily.  Happy x 100.  What a great way to start a Thurs!!

So I’m obviously not very happy; but like I’ve always said, hair grows.  Just gotta wait for it to get longer and see if I can find another stylist to get me what I want.  I think this is very nice too.

Will update in abt a month’s time.  Hehe.
