Don’t Fix It – Just Upgrade

Was with Iceman at Suntec last night when we saw people leaving the IT show with packages and packages of spoils.  Iceman was laughing at a chap who bought a 19″ flat screen monitor.  What’s so funny about that huh?  I’m still using a 17″ Sony Multiscan E200 (that’s a CRT btw, for folks who don’t remember what old monitors used to look like) ok!  I mean, what’s not broken don’t fix it!  I’m totally happy with my good ol’s monitor that has served me faithfully for the past few years!

That said, i may be slapping myself in the face since i’m wont to change to newer handphone models every 6 months (the N73 has broken the 3-6 months curse and lasted 7 months to date!  Woohoo!)

Ok.  What’s my point in all this?  I would say, sometimes, when you’re comfortable with something, you might prefer not to move out of your comfort zone.  Remaining status quo in that sense, might be a preferred choice.  However, if you’ve sussed out the specs of the new model and it seems to be better than the current product (hp, monitor, car, whatever) you’re using, perhaps, it’s worth the upgrading risk.
