What’s Not Broken Don’t Fix It

Relatively recently, i told someone that “i’m a commitment phobe” and the person said that it’s not commitment that people are scared of, but the having to conform to expectations that scares people.

When i first heard that, i couldn’t decide if the person was just making a grandiose statement, or was it something that made sense.  Having mulled over it, i guess there is some truth to that statement.

I’m attracted to people who are knowledgeable.  Knowledge is a sure-fire way to impress me.  Sadly, it also makes feel stupid in front of these people… and that makes it hard for me to open up and talk about serious stuff.  On the other hand, if a person’s too “simple” and things start to fall into routine, my attention deficit disorder will definitely act up.

I’ve enjoyed the wonderful company of relatively new friends these past 2.5 weeks.  Having worked at a technical support helpdesk before, i would say, “what’s not broken, don’t fix it”.  I think the same applies here.

Eh hello! Mr. Deep-Loo-Sea isn’t my friend regardless of what he says. He’s still YOUR friend who thinks all his friends’ friends are his friends. I dispute that.

And Mr. Abandoned has been accorded “friend” status lah, albeit relatively new. Most people who have a nick on this blog, can be considered friend lah. I’m a generous person. I forgive people who tell me that i should be chained to the kitchen. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
