Romans 8:31-39 (New International Version)
31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”[a] 37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Peanut looking a little lonely after MC’s death.
Coffee accompanies Peanut.
Pinky and Horlicks look sad too.
Peanut… can’t decide to stay inside the cage, or out.
Peanut bumming around.
More bumming.
My dad found Peanut lying like that this morning. When I went downstairs, I saw Coffee standing near her, looking at her body. He sniffed her a little but to no avail. He looked kinda depressed and went to lie in the house when my dad and I put Peanut’s body inside a box for burial.
We buried Peanut in a park near my place. Bye bye Peanut. I think she’ll be happy ‘cos she loved to dig deep into the ground. So she should be glad her resting place is in the earth too.
MC happily chomping on grass.
Pic 1: Peanut joins MC on the grass.
Pic 2: MC explores the inside of the house.
More photos of MC lazing.
Pic 1: Peanut & Coffee using the “public toilet”.
Pic 2: Coffee, Peanut & MC.
MC & Pinky (father & son) hanging out.
MC got really fat towards the end of his life.
More father and son bonding.
The bunnies in their temporary homes as the side of the house was being renovated. In the 2nd pic, Pinky looks like he’s calling his dad.
Pinky & MC hanging out.
Horlicks gets jealous & lies on the other side of Pinky.
This was the last family potrait of Horlicks, Pinky and MC. MC died when I went to Australia for holiday a couple of days after this pic was taken.
MC passed away in his sleep. Peanut tries to look for help but it’s too late.
Rest in peace big guy.
Funeral pics taken by my dad.
MC and Peanut all grown up.
MC cleaning himself after his meal… and poor Peanut sniffing about the empty tray.
Peanut decides it’s better to stick with Coffee – he doesn’t eat as much as MC.
MC chilling by this water dish… and erm.. answering nature’s call.
MC tries to head butt the camera.
More pics of MC.
Nothing gets in the way of MC and his food… damn that plastic bag.
Peanut’s fur was so long that my dad helped her trim it sometimes… she was blinded by her own fur. Hehe.
Peanut and MC sharing food.
They were really good friends.
MC was quite a lazy bunny in his adult years…
Really really lazy…
Pic 1: Coffee and Peanut on my lap.
Pic 2: Coffee chilling out with MC. Coffee usually went to MC for protection when he got bullied by the rest ‘cos he’s the smallest in size.
Pic 3: The bunnies having a happy meal.
MC… burying himself in housework. Look at his sian face at the end of it. Hehe.
Peanut & Coffee. They were a sweet couple too.
The young ones playing in the first pic, and begging for food in the second.
Another shot of Horlicks and MC "pak-toring".
After Bazhang passed away, we bought Coffee, Peanut and Horlicks to accompany MC. Horlicks is the spotted brown and white bunny, Peanut’s the all brown lionhead and Coffee’s the black lionhead.
They all got on pretty well though Horlicks could be a bit of a bully at times. (She used to chase Peanut and Coffee around when she was upset at being locked up in the cage. Only MC could put a stop to her ‘cos he was much bigger than them.
Unbeknownst to us at first, MC was also after Horlicks… and the union eventually gave us little Pinky.
The first pic shows MC all grown up. He was quite a tall rabbit. Peanut was really cute when she was small… before her mane got really messy. Heh… and that’s MC’s ass in the pic – in a cute mid-air hop.
MC and Horlicks’ “pak tor” days.
Horlicks and Peanut have been pretty good friends since young… though Horlicks (and now Pinky) has a habit of “chope-ing” their food by putting their paws in the food tray. The 2nd pic is a really curious Horlicks sticking her head out the top of the cage. She’s really tall now… and can stick her head out w/o standing on anything.
Peanut and MC were good friends too. Actually MC had the sweetest nature of all the bunnies. He never showed his temper, never stomped his food, and always watched out for the others (to the extent of stealing my mom’s plants for them to eat).
Peanut died last night. She was ok when I got home about 12am but my dad found her lying on her side motionless this morning. Rigor mortis had set in and there were ants crawling around her body. We buried her in the park. Anyway, I mentioned in Mar last year that I was going to do a tribute for Muah Chee who died 1 year ago but I never got down to it. So here’s my tribute to MC & Peanut.
MC was bought to accompany Bazhang after Tangyuan’s death. He was the cutest little bunny ever.
He had a great weakness for food though. Nothing could keep him from munching.
A very relaxed bunny. His favourite activities were eating, and chilling out.
MC was good company for Bazhang. Yup, that big grey bunny is Bazhang.
His ears were incredibly long!
Did I mention his weakness for flowers?
The 2 fellas were really good friends.
Enjoying good company.
Providing each other with a listening ear.
MC loved to hop on top of things. Check out the first pic! MC was actually stealing BZ’s food while BZ was snoozing.
Woke up this morning from someone pressing the doorbell non-stop. I opened my eyes and wondered if it could be a delivery from Singpost… but I thought at first, "Nah. They can’t be so fast". Thankfully the good postman from Singpost tooted his horn. That got me up. And…
Vpost/Singpost delivered my sunglasses today! The Vpost website sucks… not user friendly at all. But I guess you can rely on Singpost to do a good job in delivery. I made payment (after much struggle with the website) 2 days ago and my package arrived today! Very fast!
Ordered them from FramesDirect and saved about SGD130 off the retail price in Singapore!
FramesDirect also offers a 30-day refund/exchange policy. I did a search online before using them and it seems like they’re the one of the biggest (if not the biggest) frames & spectacles online store in the US.
This is the hard casing for the sunnies. A little bulky though… think I’ll leave it in the car.
Finally, my sunnies! Oakley’s Behave Asian Fit. The lenses are Oakley’s black gradient lens that allow 35% of light through. I think it’s just perfect. Love it!!
Was watching TVB’s Love Guaranteed on Ch U and was curious how on earth did they think of this “insurance product†called “love insuranceâ€. Did a search online and guess what I found? Hehe…
There’s more than 1 song titled Love Insurance (just do a search in youtube). Anyway, I was just tickled by it. 😛
